Information and Referral
Although we provide a variety of services, we understand that we cannot meet everyone’s needs. We can connect individuals to other agencies that can also assist them.
Independent Living Skills Training
Ability 1st Utah provides opportunities for training classes, resources, and information to help increase the self-reliance, self confidence, and independence of our consumers.
Individual and Systems Change Advocacy
Through this service, our consumers learn to be assertive when faced with obstacles in pursuit of their independent living goals.
Peer Support
Peer Support is based on the concept of mentoring.
Nursing Home and Diversion
This Program assists adults to transition from Nursing Home or an Assisted Living into their chosen community environment.
Youth Transition Services
The Youth Transition to Adulthood serves students 18 to 30 year old who are in need of independent living skills to assists them with the transition from high school to community living.
