What is Information and Referral?

Ability 1st’s role in providing our Information and Referral core service is to act as an advocate and resource on behalf of consumers. 

We will provide information and referral services to anyone in the community who needs to locate and find specific services and programs that Ability 1st Utah does not provide.

We urge consumers to follow up on their own when we provide information or a referral, since that is a significant part of the ethic of independent self-determination. We will follow up to make sure that the resource was beneficial in meeting your needs.

If we can’t help you with your needs, we will help you find someone who can.
