There are two important Advocacy dates to remember this month. There will be an opportunity to learn more about systems advocacy and how to have an effective role in important issues. That knowledge can be applied to explain needs and priorities that will continue to build upon the improvements made in the past 30 years in disability rights.
January 12th, 2017
Advocacy Training will be held at the Salt Lake City Capitol from 10:30 to 2:30 by the Utah State Independent Living Council (USILC). Lunch will be provided. Limited transportation for consumers to Salt Lake City may be arranged by RSVP on Monday, January the 9th.
January 26th, 2017
The Legislative Coalition for People with Disabilities (LCPD) will be having their yearly reception at the Salt Lake City Capitol from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. Youth and Adult Groups are invited to attend. There will be limited transportation so remember to call to RSVP on Monday, January the 23rd.
